About Me (The Magic)
For over 15 years, I’ve helped people step into sharper, sexier, more aligned versions of themselves through honest guidance and technique. My work is rooted in reading people - their energy, their lifestyle, their unspoken wants - and shaping a look that reflects the strongest version of who they are.
My Story
My first chapter didn’t begin behind the chair. It began in fitness.. long before I ever touched shears, foils, or a color bowl. Back then, my work was helping people rebuild themselves from the inside out. Strength. Discipline. Confidence that wasn’t measured in mirrors or numbers on a scale. What I learned during those years shaped everything I do today.
People don’t just want to look better.
They want to feel better.
They want to feel like the version of themselves they know is in there… the one that’s been waiting to step forward.
Style always fascinated me with the subtle way someone’s entire presence could shift with the right cut, the right outfit, the right detail.
That curiosity led me into the world of fashion.
Working as a stylist in a luxury retail environment changed everything.
I learned the language of taste: proportion, color, texture, and the quiet details that elevate someone’s entire look.
More importantly.. I learned something deeper.
There’s a difference between “I like this outfit” and “I like the way I feel in it.”
That distinction became the foundation of my work.
It was also where I learned the Nordstrom standard.. The high-touch, deeply personalized service where every detail matters and every interaction is intentional. It sharpened my eye, refined my instincts, and taught me how true style is less about clothing and more about understanding the person wearing it.
And then came San Francisco.
That’s where everything came together.
In a city known for creativity, individuality, and a brutally honest sense of style, I stepped fully into my identity as a hairstylist.
I trained with master stylists. Refined my technique. Studied structure, movement, and balance until it became second nature. San Francisco demanded taste, precision, and authenticity.. it pushed me to develop a point of view on hair that wasn’t about trends.
It was about people. To understand someone’s lifestyle in a single conversation. To shape hair in a way that reveals the elevated version of someone they didn’t quite know how to ask for. It’s also where my signature honesty was born, the kind my clients now trust completely.
Every chapter of my career.. fitness, fashion, luxury retail, and high-end hairstyling shaped the way I work today.
They come together in one philosophy: I see the whole person, not just the service.
I style based on who you are, how you move through the world, what you value, and the version of you that’s ready to emerge.
I don’t chase trends.
I don’t do copy-and-paste haircuts.
And I won’t tell you what you want to hear.
I’ll tell you the truth.
Because great hair isn’t just technical. It’s intuitive. It’s personal. And when it’s done right, it doesn’t just change how you look. It changes how you show up.
Smooches,
Magic Mo
